We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

For anything related to your data, write to contact@genialproduction.com.

Please don't send us sensitive data

We don't need sensitive information to answer a brief, and nobody from Genial Production will ask you for it through this website. Please don't send us identity document details, card or bank details, passwords, health data or similar information. Only send what's needed to describe your project, and if you do share anything else, you do so at your own choice and responsibility.

What we collect, and why

The brief form

When you send a brief through our contact page, we receive your name, email address and message, plus your company, the services you selected and your budget range if you chose to share them. The form sends this to our mailbox by email.

We use it to reply to you and to discuss your project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.

Protecting the form from abuse

To limit spam, we keep a hashed version of the sender's IP address and the time of the request. These entries are kept only for a short time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.

Emails you send us

If you write to us directly, we handle your email address and whatever you include in your message, in the same way and for the same reasons.

Technical data

Like most websites, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to run and secure the service.

Cookies and analytics

As of the date above, this website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookie we set ourselves is a strictly necessary session cookie for our private admin area. If this changes, we'll update this policy.

If you start a YouTube or Vimeo video, those services may store or read information on your device under their own policies.

Third-party services

Parts of the website are delivered by other companies. When your browser loads their content, they receive your IP address and basic technical data, and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf. Some of these companies may handle data outside the European Economic Area, relying on the transfer mechanisms they make available under the GDPR. We're not responsible for how independent third-party services run their own platforms.

How long we keep it

We keep briefs and related emails for as long as they're useful for the enquiry and any resulting work, and as long as needed for our legal, accounting and record-keeping purposes or to establish or defend legal claims.

Who we share it with

Personal data may be shared with the providers that help us run this website and our email, with collaborators and professional advisers where needed for a project or our business, and with authorities where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and where its conditions are met, you can ask for access to your data, and to correct, delete or restrict it, or to receive a portable copy. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest. To use these rights, email us. We may need to confirm your identity, and some rights have legal limits.

You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy at any time. The current version is the one published on this page.
